AutoLeb (“we”) is a marketplace that connects vehicle owners in Lebanon with nearby auto shops. This policy explains what we collect, why, and who sees it. AutoLeb is operated from Lebanon. Contact: [email protected].
What we collect
Account data (name, email, phone, password or Google sign-in). Vehicle details you save. Requests you post, including photos, description, and location. Shop profiles (business name, contact numbers, WhatsApp, social links, service types, photos). Device tokens for push notifications. Technical logs (IP, app version) for security.
Location
When you allow GPS, we use your coordinates to find nearby shops and to notify shops in your district. If GPS is unavailable, you choose a Lebanese district from a list — not a free-text spelling — so “Saida” and “Sayda” map to the same place. Shop locations in the public directory include the district you set and an approximate map point. We do not sell location data.
Who sees your information
Shops you interact with see your first name on a request, the vehicle and photos you attached, and the area of the request. They do not receive your email. Shop phone, WhatsApp, social links, and address are public in the directory so owners can call them — that is how AutoLeb works. Admins can see accounts, requests, and reports to operate the service and handle abuse.
Photos
Photos you upload (vehicles, requests, shop storefronts) are stored on our servers and shown to people who need them for that request or shop listing. Do not upload images of other people without their permission, or documents that reveal extra personal data.
Messages and calls
When a shop responds, we share their contact card with you. Calls, WhatsApp chats, and deals happen off the app. We do not record those conversations and we do not process payments between you and the shop.
Legal bases
We process data to provide the service you asked for (account, matching, notifications), to keep the platform safe (fraud, abuse reports, account suspension), and where required by Lebanese law.
Retention
We keep your account and request history while the account is open. If an admin deactivates or deletes an account, associated sessions are revoked. Backups may retain data for a limited period. You may ask [email protected] to close your account.
Security
Passwords are hashed. Sessions use short-lived access tokens and rotating refresh tokens. You can be signed out everywhere if your password is reset or an admin suspends the account.
Children
AutoLeb is for adults. Do not create an account if you are under 18.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top is the latest version. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
